Podcast: Sixty Seconds into the Future
We will be presenting regular micro science-fiction stories that fulfill our mission to bring hope for the future to our dystopian now.
Want to submit your story? We are looking for authors to contribute their work. Here’s what we are looking for:
First, stories need to be approximately sixty seconds long when read out loud (plus or minus 10 seconds).
Second, stories must deal with some intersection of culture and technology and happen sometime from sixty to an infinite seconds in the day future. This can be hard SF, the consequences of technology, modern-futurism, retro-futurism, or simply about life in the future.
Finally, stories must be self contained. You can reuse characters, situations, or worlds between stories if you wish, but any listener should be able to listen to a single story without having to rely on listening to any previous installments.
Submit your written story to sixty@ficklefutures.com. If accepted, we will take care of producing it for the podcast, but you will retain all copyright for the story.
