Humanity has learned more about the universe in the past 50 years than in all of history before that, and we have more ways of getting to that information than ever before. In a century we have seen to the furthest edges of the universe and time. We have created a global system of information dispersal that brings everything humans have ever known to you with a mouse click.
So, why do we all feel so stupid?
Despite the unlimited information at our grasp, humans require motivation to learn; a need or reason. But even when that arises, most people just aren’t very curious. It’s easier to have someone think for you and hand you your opinions, leaving more time to ignore the realities of life.
We have the abilities to talk with virtually any other human being anywhere in the world at anytime, but does this globally integrated communication encourage people to engage more or think less?
